JK Temui Mantan Aktivis 1998

Usai menyelesaikan kampanye putaran terakhir di Jawa Timur, Minggu (5/7) dini hari, calon presiden Jusuf Kalla (JK) yang juga Wakil Presiden RI menemui sekitar 300-an mantan aktivis 1998. Para aktivis itu, sebelumnya, pada Sabtu (4/7), sejak pukul 21.00, telah menunggu di Posko Mangunsarkoro.

Sembari duduk berhadap-hadapan dengan para mantan aktivis itu, Kalla menemui mereka di halaman posko. Bersama Kalla, hadir juga Juru Bicara Tim Kampanye Nasional Pasangan JK-Wiranto, Poempida Hidayatulloh, Yudi Chrisnandi, dan Ali Mochtar Ngabalin.

Sementara itu, para mantan aktivis diwakili antara lain oleh beberapa juru bicara seperti Eki Tarigan (mantan mahasiswa Universitas Kartanegara pada 1998), Uu (mantan Trisakti 1998), N. Wirahadi, dan Firman. Pertemuan dengan Kalla berlangsung sekitar 25 menit.

Kalangan aktivis diwakili antara lain oleh beberapa juru bicara yakni Eki Tarigan (eks mahasiswa UNiversitas Kertanegara 1998), Uu (mahasiswa Trisakti 1998), dan beberapa aktivis lainnya seperti N Wirahadi dan Firman.

Dalam kesempatan itu, para mantan aktivis mendesak JK sebagai wapres menunda pelaksanaan pemilihan umum presiden (pilpres) pada Rabu (8/7). Alasannya, masih ada masalah pada Daftar Pemilih Tetap (DPT).

Sementara, Kalla mengatakan Tim Partai Golkar sudah menemui KPU, Sabtu, sekaligus meminta perbaikan DPT kepada masing-masing partai. "Kita sudah memberi waktu hingga Senin. Apabila tidak bisa dipenuhi, ya, kita evaluasi atau kita tunda. Karena ini berbahaya, pilpres tanpa adanya DPT," ujar Kalla yang disambut tepuk tangan para mantan aktivis itu.

Selanjutnya, usai pertemuan dengan Kalla, Eki Tarigan mengatakan pihaknya berencana bermalam, kalau tidak, di Mangunsarkoro atau di Jalan Teuku Umar, kediaman capres Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"Kami merencanakan membuat rantai manusia sepanjang dari Jalan Mangunsarkoro hingga Teuku Umar. Rantai manusia ini sebagai bentuk demokrasi yang kami lakukan secara damai untuk memaksa kedua capres menunda pilpres karena masalah DPT belum terselesaikan. Masalah DPT menyangkut hak asasi paling dasar dari masyarakat yang mempunyai hak politik," ujarnya.

Lebih lanjut, Eki menjelaskan soal mengapa pihaknya meminta kedua capres, JK dan Megawati, untuk menunda pilpres. "Kedua capres ini yang paling besar dicurangi, khususnya dalam hal DPT," kata Eki.

Lalu, Uu menambahkan kalau gerakan para mantan aktivis itu tidak ada yang mendanai. "Ini sebagai sikap kritis kami melihat pemilu yang bukannya lebih baik tapi lebih jelek dari pemilu 2004," demikian Uu.

BODRUM - The International Monetary Fund is likely to revise its 2010 growth forecast for the world economy up with signs the rate of decline in global output has moderated, a senior IMF official said on Friday.

Turning to the economy of his hosts, Lipsky said Turkey may be on the verge of recovery but its rising fiscal deficit could hamper the rebound in growth.

He said consumer confidence in Turkey has rebounded strongly and manufacturing and employment have picked up, but he warned that Turkey's fiscal gap was a concern.

"The rising fiscal deficit and weakening loan quality could -- if not addressed forcefully -- cloud the growth outlook, including by curtailing banks' ability to extend credit," he said.
